Go vote -it’s your right and your civil duty!

The Placid Bay Civic Association (PBCA) wishes to thank everyone for their donations to our food drive. The food drive continues as an ongoing service during this period of time when many of our neighbors are worried about their food security. We are collecting items and delivering them to a local food pantry. The bins for donations are located at the Placid Bay Event Venue (67 Mattox Avenue) at the outside side entrance. Please do NOT leave any items which require refrigeration or freezing, or since the bins are outside, items which may freeze. Attached is a list of items which several food pantries have indicated are in need, as well as a list of local food pantries. Thank you for your contribution to this much-needed service!

Thank you to all volunteers who provided support setting up, decorating, and handing out candy!  The children all had a wonderful time!  The PBCA is looking forward to seeing all of you again for Breakfast with Santa in December!

A very special thanks to Tracey Alger of Enchanted Celebrations who volunteered her time to give temporary tattoos to the MANY children who requested them!  And another vendor, Dawn Pruitt, a designer of unique cupcakes for all occasions, who donated the MOST AWESOME Halloween cupcakes! PBCA BOARD MEETINGS ARE HELD EVERY FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH AT 7:00 PM at the Placid Bay Event Venue (67 Mattox Avenue). All meetings are open to the Placid Bay community! Come and add your voice to all of our discussions! See you there!

THE WESTMORELAND COUNTY MOBILE LIBRARY IS IN THE PLACID BAY VENUE PARKING LOT (67 Mattox Avenue, Colonial Beach, VA) ON THE SECOND AND FOURTH MONDAYS OF THE MONTH FROM 1:30-3:00 P.M.  LIBRARY CARDS, INTERNET SERVICE, AND LENDING BOOKS IN MANY GENRES AND FOR ALL AGES ARE AVAILABLE TO EVERYONE; HOPE YOU’LL COME VISIT!

The next Placid Bay Civic Association Board meeting is scheduled for September 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Placid Bay Event Venue (67 Mattox Avenue). All residents of Placid Bay are welcome — and encouraged — to attend to learn what is happening in Placid Bay Estates!
