The Westmoreland County Treasurer’s Office in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Office would like to remind owners of golf carts to obtain a motor vehicle decal which is to be displayed on the carts. Specifically, Westmoreland County Code Section 26-162, Section (H) states “Owners shall present proof of annual inspection and proof of insurance to the Westmoreland County Treasurer before purchasing a motor vehicle decal, which shall be displayed on the golf cart.” Sheriff’s deputies will be enforcing this Code section and all requirements pertaining thereto. The fee is $15.00 per decal and are currently available at the Treasurer’s Office. Decals are effective from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023.

SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL PROCEDURES
Residents of Westmoreland County, Virginia are required to display the
Westmoreland County Waste Disposal Permit in their vehicle when disposing of
waste at any of the County’s three solid waste disposal sites. Persons not displaying
the Westmoreland County Waste Disposal Permit will not be allowed to dispose of
their waste at any site.
There will be an annual reissue of your Westmoreland County WASTE DISPOSAL
PERMIT. The permit validity dates are visible on your disposal tag below the permit number. Each year the permits will display a different color.

Permits are valid July 1, 2023 thru June 30, 2024
