For any rentals of the Placid Bay Event Venue placed after 31 December 2023 the following rates are in effect:

For residents of Placid Bay Estates who are active paying members of the Placid Bay Civic Association:

6-hour rental (Sunday-Friday) for $198
12-hour rental (Sunday-Friday) for $298
12-hour rental (Saturday) for $448

$100 Add-on
(Friday after 4pm Setup and Sunday before Noon Cleanup)

For non-residents or non-members:

6-hour rental (Sunday-Friday) for $298
12-hour rental (Sunday-Friday) for $448
12-hour rental (Saturday) for $598

$100 Add-on

$200 Security Deposit applies to all rentals

“Add-On” is only available for Saturday 2024 rates. Friday through Sunday must be unreserved before deposit.

The T-Dock on Placid Lake @ the Mattox Avenue dam will be closed for the next 3 – 5 days due to SEALING of the wood deck. Volunteers are working to ensure that the T-Dock will live long and prosper! Thanks for your patience.

Road work has begun on the gravel roads In the neighborhood!

Everyone use caution around the construction equipment and possible materials that will be left in and on the side of the roadways while the constructors are working that area!

Placid Bay Estates Halloween Information:

TRUNK OR TREAT

On Sunday, October 29th, 2023, the Pavilion (67 Mattox Avenue) is hosting an event called “Halloween Costumes, Tricks and Treats.”

From 5:00 to 9:00 pm, spooksters will decorate the pavilion and distribute candy. Additionally, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, children dressed in costumes will visit the pavilion to collect candy.

TRADITIONAL TRICK or TREATING

Trick-or-treating will be held on October 31st from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Please turn on your porch lights if you are giving out treats.

We are looking for volunteer Spooksters for the Oct 29 Pavilion event to decorate or give out candy. Please text/call Daniel Clark at 410-353-3724.

The Westmoreland County Treasurer’s Office in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Office would like to remind owners of golf carts to obtain a motor vehicle decal which is to be displayed on the carts. Specifically, Westmoreland County Code Section 26-162, Section (H) states “Owners shall present proof of annual inspection and proof of insurance to the Westmoreland County Treasurer before purchasing a motor vehicle decal, which shall be displayed on the golf cart.” Sheriff’s deputies will be enforcing this Code section and all requirements pertaining thereto. The fee is $15.00 per decal and are currently available at the Treasurer’s Office. Decals are effective from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023.

SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL PROCEDURES
Residents of Westmoreland County, Virginia are required to display the
Westmoreland County Waste Disposal Permit in their vehicle when disposing of
waste at any of the County’s three solid waste disposal sites. Persons not displaying
the Westmoreland County Waste Disposal Permit will not be allowed to dispose of
their waste at any site.
There will be an annual reissue of your Westmoreland County WASTE DISPOSAL
PERMIT. The permit validity dates are visible on your disposal tag below the permit number. Each year the permits will display a different color.

Permits are valid July 1, 2023 thru June 30, 2024
